The European labour market barometer provides an outlook for the development of the European labour market in the next three months. In May 2022, component A (unemployment) stands at 103.7 points; component B (employment) stands at 104.8 points; the European labour market barometer averages both components and stands at 104.3 points. Values above 100 signal a positive outlook, values below 100 signal a negative outlook.After rising four times in a row, there is no further increase in the European Labour Market Barometer in May. The labour market leading indicator of the European Network of Public Employment Services and the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) remains at 103.4 points – the same level as for April. The assessments of the development of unemployment and employment continue to be positive.
