Professional background

Paula Ziethmann studied Philosophy (B. A.) at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen and Theory and History of Science and Technology (M. A.) with a focus on Philosophy of Knowledge and Science at Technische Universität Berlin.

From 2022 to March 2025, she worked as a research associate at the Center for Responsible AI Technologies on the responsible use of AI technologies, especially in medicine. Since April 2025, she has been working at IAB in the research department Forecasts and Macroeconomic Analyses as a research associate, where she investigates the ethical and social implications of the use of AI in the labor market with a focus on intersectionality.

Since 2022, Paula Ziethmann has been a doctoral candidate in philosophy of technology at the University of Augsburg. Her research focuses on questions of artificial intelligence at the intersection of philosophy, ethics and sociology of technology, STS and gender studies.
