Professional background
Dr Matthias Wollmann has a comprehensive, internationally shaped legal education. He studied law in Passau and Regensburg and completed his legal training at an internationally oriented law firm in Milan, among other places.
He completed his postgraduate master's degree in comparative political science and law at Andrássy University in Budapest. He went on to earn a master's degree from the University of Vienna and a doctorate in law from Paris Lodron University in Salzburg.
After working as a lawyer, Matthias Wollmann joined the Federal Employment Agency in 2008 and has been with the IAB since 2019. As a specialist in in Research-Focused Resource Management, he advises and supports research departments in particular on issues relating to personnel planning, recruitment, budget management and legal affairs.
He has continued to expand his professional expertise through active exchange in external legal networks.
