Professional background

Karsten Strien completed his training as a qualified administrative officer at the town of Eberswalde. He studied at the senior technical college of Schmalkalden, successfully completing his diploma as an economist in 2008 (Dipl.-Volkswirt (FH)). As of May 2009 he worked as an employee-orientated job placement officer at the Federal Employment Agency in the Königs Wusterhausen and Zossen offices. In 2013 Mr Strien moved to the Pankow office of the Federal Employment Agency for Northern Germany and into the Employers Service as an employer-orientated placement officer. He has been on the project staff of IAB since July 2013.
