Professional background
Dr. Holk Stobbe studied Social Sciences at the University of Göttingen, the Universidad de Chile, and the University of California, San Diego. His PhD thesis is on migration policy in the United States and Germany. From 2004 to 2007 he worked as a researcher at the Institute Zoom in Göttingen and conducted a study on the employment situation of people above the age of 50 in Southern Lower Saxony. From 2008 to 2009, he was a research consultant at the University of Heidelberg. From 2010 to 2014, he coordinated the Centre for Modern Indian Studies (CeMIS) at the University of Göttingen. Since November 2014, he has been working at the unit „Research Coordination.“ He consults IAB researchers on third stream funding.
