Professional background
Kerstin Ostermann studied to obtain her two-subject bachelor's degree in Economics and Sociology at the University of Göttingen (Georg-August-Universität Göttingen) and at National University of Ireland in Galway from 2013 to 2017. Between 2017 and 2019, she was working on her master’s degree in Socioeconomics (MSc) at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg (Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg). Since October 2019, Ms Ostermann has held a scholarship in the Graduate Programme of the IAB, and she is currently working as a researcher in the Research Department "Regional Labour Markets". Her core area of research is quantitative sociology with the focus on education, regional mobility and neighbourhood effects.
