Professional background
Lina Metzger completed her master's degree in business mathematics specialising in optimization at TU Berlin. She spent two semesters of her master's degree at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
In May 2017, she joined the IAB as an IT specialist in the Data and IT Management department. Since then, as part of the "Quality, Processes, Innovations" team, she has gained experience in the department's quality management system, the creation of project-specific data sets, and innovative topics.
Her focus is now on innovative topics, such as the preparation of short-time work data at individual level, which was read from scanned documents via an OCR algorithm, and the preparation of job text data in or-der to identify the competencies requested by employers in the job advertisment. She is part of the "Analy-tics and Machine Learning" working group at the IAB and a deputy member of the BA's team of data ethics experts.
