Professional background
Lina Metzger completed her Master's degree in Business Mathematics with a specialization in optimization at the Technical University of Berlin. She spent two semesters of her Master's degree at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
In May 2017, she started as an IT specialist in the Data and IT Management division. Since then, she has gained experience in the division's quality management system, in the creation of project-specific data sets and in innovative topics as part of the "Quality, Processes, Innovations" team.
Her focus is now on innovative topics such as the preparation of short-term employment benefit data at the individual level, which is read from scanned documents using an OCR algorithm, and the preparation of job text data to identify the skills sought by employers in job offers. She is part of the "Analytics and Machine Learning" working group at the IAB and a deputy member of the BA's data ethics expert team.
