Professional background

Verena Malfertheiner studied Economics at the Alberts-Ludwig University in Freiburg im Breisgau (B.Sc.) from 2015 – 2019. From 2020 to 2023 she completed a Master’s degree in Behavioral and Applied Economics at the University of Trento (M.Sc.) (Trento, Italy). 

Since June 2023 she works as a junior researcher at the Institute of Employment Research (IAB) in the department of Education and the Labor Market.

Her research focus is gender, family and social policy, and the technological change.
