Professional background

Dr Sebastian Hülle 2013 graduated 2013 in sociology at the University of Cologne as sociologist (Dipl.-Soz). From 2014 to 2018, he was a research associate at the Faculty of Sociology at Bielefeld University in sub-project A6 ‘Socio-structural Conditions of Justice Attitudes over the Life Course’ of the Collaborative Research Centre 882 (SFB 882).

In 2024, he completed his doctorate on the subject of ‘Assessing and Improving Data Quality in Linked Panel Surveys: With a Focus on Panel and Linkage Consent (Bias)’.

He has been working in the Survey Unit of the Statistical Methods department (KEM) at the IAB since 2018. Since 2019, he has headed and coordinated Module 3a ‘Analyzing the Effects of subsidized Employment under §16e and §16i SGB II on Employability and Social Participation’, that conducts the panel survey ‘Quality of Life and Social Participation’ to evaluate the Participation Opportunities Act (THCG).
