Professional background

Davit Adunts is a researcher in the "Migration and International Labour Market Research" department at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB), the research institute of the Federal Employment Agency in Nuremberg. Prior to joining the IAB, he worked as a researcher at the Research Institute for Labour and Social Affairs (RILSA).

He holds a PhD from the Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education – Economics Institute (CERGE-EI), a joint institution of Charles University and the Economics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences. He also holds an M.Sc. in Economics from the American University of Armenia and a B.Sc. from Yerevan State University.

His research interests lie at the intersection of applied econometrics, migration economics, and the economics of education. His current work focuses on migrant selection and sorting, the labour market integration of refugees, and the effects of migration opportunities on gender-based inequalities.
