The support of the further vocational training of the unemployed by the European Social Fund: A positive balance sheet

Abstract

"The statutory support for the further occupational training of the unemployed was supplemented between 2000 and 2008 by the European Social Fund (ESF). The analysis of the results showed that participants supported by the ESF were more successful on the labour market than the reference group of unemployed persons who did not take part."
