Field analysis as a research programme : Vol. 2: formation of theories about the subject Introduction
Abstract
"The variety of phenomena that have been analysed in recent years with the help of a field theoretical investigation framework is enormous. This research programme, whose basic principles were presented in Volume 1 of this publication, acquits itself well in varying contexts and reveals new findings. The current volume on the research programme of field analysis (Volume 2) focusses on grounded theories that arise in the course of practical research. Here the authors present the results of their field analytical research and offer explanations for certain social phenomena and developments. They provide an insight into the day-to-day research work within the 'protective belt' (Imre Lakatos) of the research programme which is steered by a research habitus that strives towards a context-related and scientifically productive use of the conceptual und methodical set of tools which field analysis has to offer. Here both open and covert debates with the findings of other grounded theories and the practices of other research programmes are the order of the day." (Text excerpt, IAB-Doku) ((en))
