Women Aged 50 and Over : Requirements and Company┐s Barriers in Further Education

Abstract

"In the following it is investigated in how far male and female employees participate in lifelong learning and what expectations they ascribe to it. Furthermore, it is attempted to identify reasons against the participation in further education. Here, it is intended to take a detailed look at employees aged 50 and over, especially females. What chances or disadvantages do women aged 50 and over experience in further education? In how far does the age of women play a role for their participation in further education in establishments of different size and different industries, compared to younger women or equally aged men? Are these women satisfied with the supply of further education? What reasons are there for non-participation in particular measures of further education?" (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku)
