Placement offers under basic income support: For mothers a draw
Abstract
"Helping employable recipients of means-tested unemployment benefit (ALG II) to enter the labour market is the prime goal of the placement advisors at the basic income support offices. What offers of help can be made and what direction their advice takes depends on various factors. These can be influenced by male and female role models. However there is one central problem that placement staff are not able to solve: the lack of available childcare for mothers who want to work. This often results in stalemate."
