Equality of Chances in the Access to Counselling, Job Placement, and Integration Services? : A Comment on the Speeches of Karen Jaehrling and Manuela Schwarzkopf

Abstract

In this comment, I would like to address some selected findings that were interpreted as deficits in employment 'activation' and that relate to gender and the family situation. Particular emphasis is on the question if differences in the involvement of women and men indicate unequal treatment, respectively if instruments of employment integration are an adequate means to levelling out the existing labour market disadvantages of women.
