Lebensqualität, Kommunalpolitik und Kommunalwahlen in Nürnberg

Abstract

"This report contains findings from two research projects about the quality of life, local politics and local elections which were carried out in 2002 and 2006, as well as the press coverage of these in Nuremberg. Central focal points lie on a close-up analysis of local politics i.e. prominence and rating of parties and their protagonists plus the residents' asumed voting behaviour. Apart from that the citizens' attitudes towards immigrants and their integration, crime and surveillance, child and family friendliness, urban building projects and identification with the city are also studied. The data which was gathered through representative telephone interviews with citizens who where entitled to vote (n=1,541 in 2002 and n=1,312 in 2006) is analysed in sociocultural and sociogeographic contexts."
