Refugee Migration Ten Years On: Have We Succeeded? A Labor Market Perspective

Abstract

"At 64 percent in 2024, the employment rate of refugees who migrated to Germany in 2015 has risen sharply to approach the German average, despite a pronounced gender gap. However, a large proportion of refugees earn only slightly more than the low-wage threshold.
