All you Need is Adaption? Momente der Agency zwischen Anrufung, Subjektivierung und Selbstverhältnis

Abstract

"The essay discusses agency as subjects’ possibilities of intervening in discourses in the process of their own production. These interventions are expressed both within the framework of discourse positions relevant to interpellation – as turning towards or away from – as well as in the process of their modes of subjectivation and the (self-)presentations based on them. In order to depict these moments of agency in their temporality, they are theoretically conceptualized following Emirbayer and Mische and empirically reconstructed with reference to Halls concept of identification and Schütz’ concept of relevance."
