Fields of Action and Needs for Adaptation of the Holistic Employment Support Under the Participation Opportunities Act
Abstract
"The paper examines the implementation of the holistic employment support (gbB) within the framework of employment promotion under the Participation Opportunities Act (THCG). Based on a reconstruction of the logic of the gbB within the framework of the legislation, the actual implementation practice is examined by means of a qualitative study conducted at ten locations. On this basis, an analytical distinction is made between four fields of action with regard to the substantive requirements for the gbB: companies, initiation of long-term development processes, emergency and crisis intervention, and guide in the welfare state. In order for the gbB to be able to meet these requirements, it is recommended on the one hand to ensure the professional and basic competences of the implementers and increase the continuity of support, and on the other hand to improve the access of the gbB to the supported persons in the companies."
