Abstract

"The Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has presented a proposal to temporarily extend the use of the short-time work allowance. This statement justifies IAB’s critical assessment of an extension of the short-time working allowance and considers short-term economic stimuli in conjunction with long-term initiatives to transform the economy and train employees to be much more suitable."
