Structural change in the German labour market. IAB Statement on the hearing at the German Council of Economic Experts on 17 October 2024

Abstract

"In preparation for the 2024/2025 Annual Report of the German Council of Economic Experts, the IAB was asked for its expertise on the assessment of structural change in the German labour market, taking into account changes in unemployment, skills shortages, regional labour demand and further training.
