Betriebliche Weiterbildung in der Pandemie
Abstract
"In the context of structural and technological change, further training for employees is becoming more and more important. After increasing for many years, participation in firm-provided training activities decreased during the COVID-19 crisis. Similarly, publicly funded further training for employees also declined, especially during the first lockdown. Although many companies introduced new forms of digital learning or intensified their use during the crisis, there are clear differences between companies of different sectors and sizes. Moreover, only relatively few companies are using the working time lost due to short-time work for the qualification of their employees. In the medium to long term, the decline in continuing education during the pandemic may have negative consequences for both companies and employees." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
