Competence Guide - IT-Sector

Abstract

"The digital and ecological transformation of the economy is profoundly changing the working and professional world. The central question is how skills requirements will change in specific industries and which skills will become important in the future. In this context, continuing education during the course of employment is becoming more important than ever. Against this background, the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS) has commissioned the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) with the research project "Competence Guide". The results of the first sub-project are presented in three brochures, which vividly describe the changes in qualification and competence requirements in the machine manufacturing, health care and IT-sector.
