The German Labour Market in the Covid 19 Pandemic. IAB Statement on the hearing at the German Council of Economic Experts on 22 September 2021

Abstract

In preparation for the Annual Report 2020/2021 of the German Council of Economic Experts, the IAB was asked to provide its expertise on the development of the German labour market during the Covid-19 pandemic and measures to increase firms’ hiring and to improve entrepreneurs’ protection against economic shocks.
