Skills demand for the hydrogen technology: Insights from a new analysis of job ads

Abstract

"The introduction of hydrogen technologies is regarded as an important step towards a climate-neutral economy. Their utilization is expected to increase significantly in the coming years. Based on analyses of job ads published by the JOBBÖRSE of the German Federal Employment Agency, this report shows that the demand for skills directly referring to hydrogen technologies is already visible on the labor market. Furthermore, the report shows how these skills are related with the requirement levels of the job ads where these skills occurred, how they are regional distributed and how they are related to the local labor market situation."
