Wage consequences of bargaining conditioned on mismatch
Project duration: 02.10.2017 to 31.12.2018
Abstract
The wage consequences of mismatch are far from been established. Recent literature has found indeed that skill transferability at occupational level offsets the wage loss of overeducation. Wage bargaining might be the channel through which this happens. By making use of a novel dataset that collects information from the Job Vacancy Survey and the Integrated Employment Biographies, we investigate to what extent wage bargaining and occupational tenure affect mismatched workers.
