Abstract

The Intranet is being newly designed in respect to its function as an internally orientated information, communication and collaboration platform and for the support of processes via efficient information flows. The Intranet will become the central communication point and an effective hub of information for the Institute. A unified platform will offer access to important information resources and integrated applications (e.g. IISI projects). Information will be provided by means of a content management system (CMS). The processes for quality protection and updating will be automatised - as far as this is sensible.
