Effects of Labor Market Institutions on Wives' Income Parity at Home: A Cross-National Study of Advanced Industrial Countries
Project duration: 01.09.2007 to 31.12.2011
Abstract
This paper explores how likely it is for a woman to find herself in an egalitarian household. It asks if women in some countries are more likely than their peers elsewhere to attain economic parity vis-à-vis their husbands by becoming earners of equal importance in terms of their contribution to household economy.
