Abstract

Due to the major changes in the german classification of occupations (KldB) in the data of the Federal Employment Agency it becomes neccessary to also conduct changes within the IAB-Job Vacancy Survey (EGS). In 2012, a pretest was used to test possible ways to change the questionaire in order to collect all information needed to correctly code the occupations into the new KldB. According to the results, changes in the questionaire were made. Furthermore,  the actual coding process is being discussed with Economix and the final results will be tested intensely to figure out the best way to use them within the common EGS analyses.
