Abstract
A group of business scientists has commenced work on the European research project KEI (Knowledge Economy Indicators). Knowledge economy indicators are to be developed and improved as part of this project extending with a term of 30 months. The KEI Project is part of the sixth research framework program of the EU concentrating on the bundling an integration of research: politically-oriented research . It is being supported by a total of 1.576 million of which 539,400 are available to the University of Tübingen. The research work is being carried out by institutions from Belgium, Finland, Holland, Italy and Germany. In collaboration with scientists in the Italian Ispra, the Tübingen working group under the leadership of Dr. Ralf Münnich is concerning itself with the development of a simulation tool with which political scenarios are analyzed with regard to their effects in indicator development. It is also entrusted with the overall co-ordination of the project. Our part is to take missingness of indicators into account and to develop a suitable imputation algorithm
