Firms' reactions to hiring difficulties

Abstract
Using Data from the German Job Vacancy Survey, we analyse the firms' reactions to difficulties during the hiring process. The project focusses on wage setting, i.e. if firms tend to be more willing to pay higher wages if they are facing hiring difficulties. The assumption is that the firms' reactions depend on branch specific as well as on personal and job related characteristics.
