Abstract

The report examines developments in the training market of Berlin-Brandenburg between 2009 and 2023. During this time, the situation for those seeking training in both countries has eased, but is nevertheless more tense in Berlin than in Brandenburg. At the same time, the mismatch between applicants and the training positions offered increases during the observation period. In addition, there are more and more young people with foreign nationality among the applicants, who are more often unsuccessful in their search for an apprenticeship.
