Abstract

Every month, Germany's regional employment agencies are asked by the Federal Employment Agency about the expected labour market development in the respective region. The project analyses the predictive ability of these survey data. The result of these studies is the IAB Labour Market Barometer, a monthly updated leading indicator signalling changes in employment and unemployment.
