Abstract

The project investigates whether Covid-19 accelerated digital transformation. The focus is on the question of how the relationship between technology use and labor demand at the establishment level changed with the Covid-19 crisis and whether more technologically advanced establishments were less affected by the Covid-19 crisis. To this end, we use a new database that contains information on technology use at the establishment level in Germany before and after the crisis and that is linked to administrative data.
