On the draft of a law on the dynamic relief of contributions in unemployment insurance : Statement of the IAB on the public hearing in the Committee for Labour and Social Affairs of the German Bundestag on 14 October 2019

Abstract

"The statement contains the evaluation of the IAB on the (proposed by the FDP parliamentary group) 'draft of a law on the dynamic contribution relief in unemployment insurance' for consultation in the Committee for Labor and Social Affairs of the German Bundestag on 14 October 2019. It is argued that the contribution rate should be based on the achievement of a crisis reserve of the Federal Employment Agency of 0.65 percent of gross domestic product. Significant contribution rate reductions are currently discouraged. A rule-based contribution rate design would be conceivable. For the design, a number of points are named."
