Frequency and structure of occupational changes in Germany

Abstract

"For a substantial number of employees in Germany, switching to another company also involves a professional reorientation. This contribution initially compares the extent of mobility in the individual occupations and then describes the occupations between which exchanges take place particularly often. Knowledge on the interconnections between occupations can give an initial orientation as part of vocational and further training guidance." (Author's abstract) ((en))
