The taking on of trainees by establishments

Abstract

"The data of the IAB Establishment Panel provide information about how many establishments in Germany are entitled to provide training and how high the share of establishments is that actually do provide training. In addition, the IAB Establishment Panel captures how many of those persons completing training were subsequently given an employment contract by the establishment that trained them. Below are the results on the subsequent in-house employment of persons completing training, presented according to region (eastern/western Germany) and size of establishment. In a report compiled by IAB, the results are further differentiated according to branches and commitment to collective wage agreements by the establishments." (Text excerpt, IAB-Doku)
