In-house occupational training and further training in Germany

Abstract

"Since the Data Report 2009, the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) and the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) have been presenting time series on key indicators of the training performance of German establishments in a revised report. The time series now represent more than a decade and are augmented in this current expert report by the years 2015 and 2016. The indicators rest on the data provided by the IAB Establishment Panel that collects important benchmark data on an annual basis on the performance shown by establishments as regards training and further training. Explanations about the basis of the data as well as delimitations vis-à-vis other data sources follow on from the overview." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku)
