Establishments' participation in further training and further training quota

Abstract

"The IAB Establishment Panel has been providing information on further training at German establishments since 1995. If, up to 2007, the data on further training was collected on a two-year rhythm, since then the basic information on further training has been surveyed annually. In this contribution, 2 indicators on the description of further training are presented: participation in further training; and the further training quota. While the indicator 'participation in further training' refers to the share of establishments that provide further training, the 'further training quota' refers to the share of staff included in further training. Additional information on further training (for example, on further training activities according to branch of the economy) as well as explanations about method can be found in the expert report by IAB in this chapter."
