Social change and staff-orientated business management : current results of an establishment and employee survey

Abstract

"Under the impact of change in the world of work, more and more establishments in Germany are developing activities to motivate their employees and to retain them on a long-term basis. The Monitor, presented here, studies the characteristics of employee-orientated business management on the basis of results from an establishment and employee survey, in particular in relationship to maintaining the employability of the staff. It shows what working conditions employees are subject to and how widespread health protection measures in the support of a healthy working environment in German establishments are. In addition to this, it provides results showing how these measures are adopted and perceived by employees and what relationship there is between the offer of in-house activities for health promotion and the commitment of staff towards their employer. In doing so, the Monitor complements the picture that has already been identified in other Monitors in this series, among other things in connection with encouraging qualifications, evaluating performance, as well as staff interviews and surveys as relevant measures."
