Digitalisation of commercial processes, changes in the profile of commercial occupations and requirements for qualifications

Abstract

"The available studies on the potentials for automatization, the ability for substitution and the ability to be programmed in various activities and professions show that these potentials are larger for auxiliary and skilled professions than they are for specialist and expert professions. This also applies in general to the commercial professions such as in trade, professions in company management and organisation, as well as in company-orientated service professions, which however are not among the areas most strongly affected. The current article discusses the theoretical background, the basic data and the methodical procedures of this study and contains suggestions for further research." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku)
