Publicly supported employment for the long-term unemployed - the significance of social-pedagogical support

Abstract

"While publicly supported employment offers opportunities to unemployed persons who are not easily employable, it also involves risks. Based on an evaluation of model projects in North Rhine-Westphalia, this article shows how publicly financed measures need to be designed in order to develop their full potential.
