Personnel development and further training : the report on Monitor
Abstract
"If the competitiveness of a company is to be retained, it is essential to ensure the strategic development of personnel as part of the human resource management.
To achieve this, modern companies work intensively in identifying qualifications and competencies which they will require on the market today and tomorrow.
Further training and qualifications as well as the development of employees ensure that future requirements can be fulfilled. The aspiration of life-long learning has been a reality for a long time now in today's work society. Discussions with employees, target agreements, as well as development plans and further training serve to optimise working procedures and to bind employees better to the company they work for.
In this connection, the current report evaluates current data of the representative, nationwide survey of establishments and employees, the so-called Linked Personnel Panel (LLP), showing how companies use instruments of personnel development and how employees react to them."
