Education in the knowledge society

Abstract

"The transitions from an industrial to a service and to a knowledge society linked to structural economic change invite diverse discourses from a socio-economic perspective on the challenges for education resulting from this. In the yearbook "Ökonomie und Gesellschaft" (Economy and Society) all phases of education are dealt with: pre-school, school, vocational, academic, further training - each with its own focus. Pressing cross-cutting issues are of course also covered: How fair is our educational system? Can immigrants, both male and female, be successfully integrated? Generally speaking, what do future perspectives on the labour market look like? What solutions exist for the financing of education within the framework of the federal state?
