Digitalisation at the workplace : Report

Abstract

"The digitalisation of the world of work brings great changes with it and will affect almost all areas of the world of work. It will lead to radical changes in the service sector in the same way as in production and company structures.<br> The discussion about the issue Industry 4.0 and its impact on employees is already defining the public debate today and is more relevant than ever.<br> The use of modern digital information and communication technology (ICT) is defining the day-to-day working life of most employees. Mobile terminals are quickly becoming more important and the equipping of employees with such devices is increasing greatly.<br> The current report evaluates current data from the representative and countrywide survey of establishments and employees, the so-called Linked Personnel Panel (LLP).<br> To do this, the results of the first and second survey wave are presented with regard to the question of digitalisation at the work station."
