The impacts of digitalisation on the working environment

Abstract

"Digitalisation will change our world of work and this will have different consequences for individual occupations. Ascertaining to what extent occupations in Germany have the potential to be substituted can decide the degree to which occupational activities could already today be replaced by the computer or by computer-operated machines. The results show that fears of a massive reduction in employment are at present unfounded."(Author's abstract, IAB-Doku)
