Young adults with disabilities : Occupational Rehabilitation supports the first entry into the labour market

Abstract

"The short report describes the population of young adults with disabilities participating in occupational rehabilitation. In general, their educational level is comparably low. 50 percent of all young adults in occupational rehabilitation? take up initial vocational training. Relating to the type of training, most of them (approx. two thirds) take part in off-the-job-training arrangements. One year after completing vocational training, 50 percent are employed; in-company training generally leads to higher employment rates." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
