Young persons with a psychic handicap within the occupational rehabilitation of the Federal Employment Agency
Abstract
"Occupation rehabilitation is intended as a socio-political tool to promote the integration of disabled persons or of persons who are threatened with a disability into the labour market. The Federal Employment Agency (BA) is one of the largest providers of occupational rehabilitation. In the area of placing young people in the labour market for the first time, the BA is almost the only provider. It is already known that young people show learning difficulties especially often at the time of first-time placement (Dony et al., 2012). Against the background of a general increase in psychic disorders in economically active persons, it would be important to assess to what extent this already applies to comparatively young people."
