Mobile and boundary-free work : A report for Monitor
Abstract
"The digitalisation of work has become more dynamic in Germany over the last years as a result of the continual increase in the performance of broadband technology along with the further development of mobile applications and mobile terminal devices.
Against this background, flexible forms of work - for instance, mobile work - are becoming more relevant and are moving into the focus of discussions on social policy.
Several questions arise in this connection. How widespread is mobile/boundary-free work today? Which groups of persons are affected and which not?
The current report evaluates current data from the Linked Personnel Panel (LLP) which is representative throughout Germany.
From statements made about the advantages and disadvantages of mobile/boundary-free work that have been experienced it is possible to extrapolate further questions in relation to differences in the perceived quality of work."
